When I am writing, I absolutely require headphones and good music that inspires me. For me, my top 3 albums to listen to when writing are a part of my daily life. They help me to get my work done, and which one I choose depends on my mood at the time.

The album "III" from Vershajne is amazing to listen to when your writing. It is purely instrumental, but not in the boring way. If classical music ever decided to be rock without not being classical, this is what it would sound like. The music is calming, beautiful, and so complex that it is never boring. The sounds you will hear on this album will actually stimulate your mind.

Enya is another one of the best and most inspiring artists to listen to when writing. Her music is beautiful and calming, and this album, being my favorite of hers, is just as inspiring as the number #1 album to listen to when writing.

Loreena McKennitt has a beautiful voice, and her gentle mix of folk music and celtic folk music makes this one of the best albums to listen to when writing.
